Sonia at Leaves of Grass posted pictures of her books and invited us to participate, so I wanted to share with you some of my cooking books, that I have been collecting over the years, most of them were gifts, and they remind me of the people I love.
The show off bookshelf, there are many more in the cabinet...
Wow! Thank you Cris! I am glad you share with us your cooking books! I have a surprise to all of you who participated on this thread of Books and Bookshelves! See you soon!
ReplyDeleteI was intrigued by Sonia's suggestion to post photos of our bookshelves, and am looking forward to seeing what people post. I decided not to participate as I don't really collect many books (just library books!), but your photo, Cris reminds me that we too have collected cookbooks over the years, and also a number of years of the Gourmet Magazine. Fun to see your books, and is that a recipe file box at the end of the row in the first photo?
ReplyDeleteSonia, I had fun and looking through my books I have been able to find new recipes I hadn't tried for years! Can't wait to see what your surprise is!
ReplyDeleteVal, I also collect magazines, I have lots of Woman's Day, Taste of Home, Good Housekeeping, and Better Homes and Gardens that has great recipes. I forgot to post them here! Oh, that's a recipe file at the end of the row, it was a wedding gift from my sweet family in the US, they also gave me the Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book.
